This developer position works independently to develop, implement, and maintain complex technology solutions with J2EE and WebSphere. "Must Have" Skills for This Job: 1. Requires Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline (computer science, engineering or MIS) 2. 6+ years of relevant work experience. 3. Experience with WebServices, JSON, and XML. 4. Experience with J2EE/WebSphere IDE/Eclipse IDE preferred. 5. Requires expert knowledge or software development life cycle methodology. 6. Requires advanced knowledge of object oriented languages. 7. Requires knowledge of relational database management systems (DB2 preferred). 8. Demonstrates understanding of core business functions. Tell Me About this Job: 1. Review business requirement documents (BRD) and translate into technical specifications. 2. Work from technical specifications to independently develop, modify and maintain complex software products. 3. Analyze and troubleshoot problems and make recommendations for remediation. 4. Preform Tier Two Production Support as required. 5. Provide status updates to management. 6. Leads design/code reviews, architecture discussions and infrastructure reviews. 7. Mentor staff. Assigns work and directs staff in the production of work product. 8. Manages interactions with external vendors. 9. Directly interacts with internal customers and manages customer expectations. 10.
